Wesnes Cognition Ltd (www.wesnes.com) is delighted to be supplying the CogTrack system for use in Phase II of the Busselton Healthy Ageing Study. Professor Keith Wesnes has specialized in assessing changes in cognitive function since his first study of the effects of cigarette smoking on vigilance and attention in 1972. His desire to optimise the precision of cognitive function assessment led him to develop computerised tests, and in the early 1980s to create the CDR System, which for over 30 years has been the most widely used system of its type in worldwide clinical research. To take cognitive testing to the next level and liberate it from the restrictions of laboratory or clinical administration, his team has developed CogTrack, an internet based version of the core tasks from the CDR System which is enabling cognitive assessment to be conducted in trials of unprecedented size, scope and duration.
