The Busselton Population Medical Research Institute is very pleased to announce the Busselton Dunsborough Times as a Copper Level Business Partner.

The 12 month partnership with the long established regional newspaper will be fundamental in building community knowledge on the research activities of the Busselton Population Medical Research Institute (BPMRI) and our locally based Busselton Health Study.

The Busselton Population Medical Research Institute relies on the generosity of individuals, community, industry and government to continue our globally significant medical and population health research.

BPMRI’s Fundraising Manager Lana Nancarrow said: “BPMRI is very pleased to have the Busselton Dunsborough Times join us as our first business partner.  BPMRI’s Busselton Health Study would not existing today without the ongoing support of the Busselton community, so we are hopeful that other businesses will also be inspired to join our program.”

Mike Felton said “The Busselton Dunsborough Times is pleased to support The Busselton Population Medical Research Institute. We recognise the important work done by the institute and are happy to support their efforts and raise the profile of an important community organisation through the Times. We will endeavour to keep our local community up to date on the work carried out by the research institute.”

Busselton Health Study Director Michael Hunter said “BPMRI is at the forefront of the international effort to understand the causes of, and risk factors underlying a wide range of diseases. It is important that we keep the local community updated on how their generosity as study participants and supporters over the past 48 years, has assisted us to advance medical research outcomes. We are proud that our partnership with the Busselton Dunsborough Times will help us to share our news more widely.”
