How to apply to the Western Australia Cohort Studies – Research Support Program (WACS-RSP)

A new Western Australian Future Health Research & Innovation (FHRI) grant program has been announced which will provide funding for successful projects using data from one of the three large cohort studies including Busselton Health Study (BHS).  More information including application form can be found here.

As indicated in the guidelines, researchers wanting to access data for this scheme will need to obtain an In-Principle Support (IPS) Letter from the applicable cohort study.  Further information on BHS data access can be found here.

To express an interest and apply for IPS letter, please submit your full application by filling in this form and return it to Busselton.ResearchSCGH@health.wa.gov.au. Early and mid-career researchers are strongly encouraged to apply. Priority will also be given to those who send in their expression of interest and apply for an IPS Letter from Busselton Population Medical Research Institute (Inc) by 4 August 2023.  It is also expected that all projects will include consumer and community involvement as outlined in https://fhrifund.health.wa.gov.au/Consumers/FHRI-Fund-Consumer-and-Community-Involvement. To engage the BPMRI’s Community and Consumer Advisory Committee please complete this form.

Should you have any questions about the process, please feel free to contact us on Busselton.ResearchSCGH@health.wa.gov.au.
